Fun Water Games for Every Age
As the days get warmer, and the demand for day trips to the beach or water park become stronger among the kids, there are many fun activities you can do right from home.
Cooling off and having fun with some water can happen in your own backyard! Here is a list of awesome hacks to keep your child busy, engaged and away from crowded areas.
Slip ‘N Slide
This is a summer classic! Not only is this one of the easiest ways to beat the summer heat, but you will also find your child wanting to slip and slide for hours. All you need is a roll of heavy plastic and a sprinkler, watch your kids do the rest!
Liquid limbo makes the original version seem like old news. For this game, turn the hose on full blast and use it as the limbo stick. The challenge is to see who can go the lowest without getting wet!
Water Gun Tag
Water Gun Tag is like a summer version of laser tag. The objective of this version is to get the other team as wet as possible. Split into two teams, give each other 2 minutes to hide, and begin!
Water Balloon Toss
Unlike boring old egg toss, adding water balloons into the equation makes this game a thrilling challenge! Fill up the balloons with water, head over to a spot where a mess won’t be a problem, then start tossing the water balloons back and forth with a partner!
Cup of Chance
For this game, you will need a stack of paper cups and a table (preferably outside). Lay out the cups in rows and fill half of the cups with water. Leave the other cups empty. Participants will take turns picking cups to pour over their own heads. This game works best if a blindfold is used!
